CSIRO
On may 19 the CSIRO came to teach us about simple machines. They taught us how to make a gear and S2F was happy with it. Then we made a little carousel it was really fun to make but some people of S2F didn’t get to finish.

We have been having so much fun playing the game Junkbot on the lego site that we decided to make our own lego games. After playing the game together we came up with different adventures Junkbot could go on. We got a scaffold and some lego and made our own adventure with dangers and help along the way. We had so much fun as you can see. If you want to have a go and play the game go to www.lego.com and go to play. Have fun!!!!
A Visit from the Blind Cricket Association
August 31st, 2007 by fanggidae in Uncategorized · 2 Comments
On Thursday the 30th of August stage one had a special visit from the Blind Cricket Association. We participated in three activities. Firstly, we had a game of cricket with our eyes closed and we used a special ball that had a bell so we could hear it come towards us. Then, we went in the hall and were blind folded and leart how to use a special cane to get around. It was really tricky!!!

Our Excursion to The Art Gallery and The Royal Botanic Gardens.

On Thursday 23rd of August Stage One went on an excursion. The rain did not stop us from having a fantastic time and learning lots about our senses. We saw lots of art works some of our favourites were “Fruit Bats” by Lin Onus, “Vive L’Empereur” by Edouard Detaille, “Five Bells” by John Olsen and the sculpture by Robert Klippel.
We also enjoyed spending time in the rain in the Botanical Gardens. The succulent gardens were amazing.
We would like to thank all the teachers that made this day possible.
A big thanks from the Flying Stars!!!!
